This book is for sale only at the Ghisallo Museum and at our sister-museum, in Alessandria - City of Bicycles Museum. It is a beautifully illustrated tome, a compilation of contributions of Roquette SpA, and edited by both by Ghisallo Museum and Luciana Rota. The postscript is by Carola Gentilini, Director of the Museum. This is the history of Sandrino (Andrea) Carrea through photos of the Carrea family, along with numerous archival treasures (from Ghisallo). Leafing through the pages you will discover newspaper articles from a bygone era. The result is the portrait of a champion recognized as Fausto Coppi's most faithful domestique, along with the likes of Ettore Milano and Fausto’s brother, Xerxes. He was capable of surmounting all aspects of life: through the closeness of family he managed the sufferings and fears of war; at work, he was generous as he toiled away at every endeavor; and in sport he was a beloved amateur, forged by Biagio Cavanna at SIOF. As a professional for Bianchi, he contributed to Fausto Coppi's greatest successes. Take a trip back in time to the anecdotes of those who knew him, such as Aurelio Pestarino, another of the Roquette team. Carrea spent 15 productive years at Roquette always displaying the deepest of human values. About the book: Only one version in both Italian and English.
